United Kingdom-based CDE, which describes itself as a provider of wet processing equipment for recycling operations, quarries and mines, is offering a new equipment financing structure to customers that it calls “a simple repayment plan of 10 equal installments.”

The company’s 10x10 finance offer applies to the purchase of CDE’s Combo wet processing and water management systems. The financing arrangement asks for 10 percent payment upfront followed by 10 equal installments “spread across nine months from delivery of this best-in-class sand washing solution,” according to the firm.

CDE says at ConExpo 2020, the launch of its new all-in-one 500 tons per hour Combo X900 system led to the idea of the new equipment finance offer “to make its innovative technologies more accessible to materials processors in North America.”

“The Combo has been designed to deliver on the aims and objectives of our customers’ business needs, adding significant commercial value while reducing operating costs, so we’re making it even easier to access,” says Darren Eastwood, business development director of CDE North America.

Eastwood says 10x10 allows materials processors to take advantage of the Combo’s productivity and efficiency with a significantly lower upfront capital investment.

With an increased capacity, the new Combo X900 is the largest in the series to date. It can process 500 tons per hour of feed material, including natural sand and crushed rock, separating unwanted clay, silt and other organic contaminants to extract what CDE calls “quality, in-spec, washed and graded sand products that are market-ready straight from the belts.”

Calling it a “plug-and-play system,” Eastwood continues, “The Combo X900 arrives on site pre-wired and pre-tested, ready to process material within just five days.”

With the low down payment aspect of the 10x10 plan, Eastwood says, “By lowering upfront capital costs against the next-gen Combo, we’re creating the conditions to enable materials processors to become operational and cash positive faster through affordable repayments.”

Other features of the Combo X900, according to Eastwood, include:

  • a single chassis design that incorporates several processes – washing, dewatering, water recycling, and stockpiling – onto one single, interconnected and pre-assembled unit;
  • a control cabin that has been repositioned to sit on top of the water tank, resulting in what CDE calls “a solution that can be adopted across regions with major hot and cold temperature extremes;”
  • a water tank that is integrated into the design of the AquaCycle thickener tank, resulting in a peripheral wall for water storage that can reduce the X900’s overall footprint;
  • a system that provides customers with almost total independence of water supply and minimizes the requirements for site engineering because of the (on average) 30 percent smaller footprint compared to other wash plant setups; and
  • the X900’s water management and integrated water recycling system minimizes water consumption to ensure up to 90 percent of process water is recycled for immediate recirculation.
