Caterpillar Inc., Peoria, Ill., has introduced the 930G wheel loader, which uses VersaLink loader linkage.
The linkage is designed to allow for increased breakout forces and bucket fill factors. The design allows the operator to keep areas like bucket corners and fork tips in his range of visibility.
An optional Quick Coupler allows for faster work tool changes.
Standard dump height at 45 degrees is 116 inches, and a high-lift version is available that increases the dump height to 135 inches.
The 930G is powered by an electronically controlled Cat 3056E Direct Injection Turbocharged (DIT) engine, which meets the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Tier 2 exhaust emissions requirements. The engine has a 37 percent torque rise and is rated at 149 net hp.
In the operator’s cab, a single joystick is used for lift and tilt functions. There are a variety of control arrangements, including 4 valve/3 lever or 6 valve/2 level depending on hydraulic configuration.
New from Caterpillar on the 930G is an Operator Programmable Transmission Neutralizer and a rearview camera system.
