Carolinas AGC honors 2025 Pinnacle, Construction Excellence award recipients

The organization recognized individuals, construction projects and companies whose contributions enhanced their communities and the industry in 2025.

The Charlotte, North Carolina-based Carolinas AGC (CAGC) recently honored its 2025 Pinnacle and Construction Excellence award recipients at the organization’s 105th Annual Convention in Aruba.

Five Pinnacle Awards were presented to construction projects that enhanced their local communities, and one “Build with the Best” Pinnacle Award was presented to an individual recognized for their partnership efforts and strengthening the construction community.

In addition, five projects won Construction Excellence Awards, which recognize projects of distinction in North Carolina and South Carolina.

  • I-40 widening: I-440 to Cornwallis Road - Wake and Johnston Counties, North Carolina
  • SCDOT US 17A/21 bridge replacement over the CSX railroad - Yemassee, South Carolina
  • Bryant Farms road extension - Charlotte, North Carolina
  • Emergency demolition of damaged S-2-105 (Old Vaucluse Road) bridge over I-20 and repair of roadway near mile marker 13 - Aiken County, South Carolina

According to the CAGC, Pinnacle Award entries are judged on unique aspects and challenges; special values; project management; budget and schedule; and safety performance. The CAGC Pinnacle Awards competition is co-sponsored by certified public accountant firm GreerWalker LLP and the law firm of Johnston, Allison & Hord, both based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
