Cards Holdings LLC has acquired Phillips Trash Service, a waste service provider based in Hindsville, Arkansas. This strategic move marks Cards’ fifth acquisition in 2024 and its second in two weeks. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Phillips Trash Service has served northwest Arkansas communities, including Benton, Washington and Madison counties, for more than 20 years. Judy Reeves and Bryan Passmore own and operate the company with approximately 4,500 residential and commercial customers.

The acquisition of Phillips Trash Service overlays with Cards’ existing service footprint in Northwest Arkansas and aligns with Cards’ customer-first commitment to enhance customer satisfaction. By integrating Phillips Trash Service into its operations, Cards says it will realize route synergies and talent acquisition that enable the company to “continue providing exceptional waste management solutions to the communities it serves.”

Cards also looks to offer single-stream recycling solutions to Phillips customers with its recycling facility launching in a few months.

“We are thrilled to welcome Phillips Trash Service to the Cards family,” Cards President and CEO Dan Christensen says. “This acquisition not only strengthens our presence in Northwest Arkansas but also illustrates our dedication to acquiring first-class waste companies. Consolidating these two organizations will further densify our routes and increase our subscription residential customer base.”

Phillips Trash Service employs a team of 16 full-time staff and operates eight collection vehicles. With this acquisition, Cards says it remains committed to upholding its values of environmental sustainability, reliability and community engagement, which is why the company purchased new equipment to facilitate a smooth transition for both employees and customers and adhere to its diesel emission company standards.

Established in 2017 as Central Arkansas Recycling and Disposal Services, Cards' mission was to “revolutionize waste management services.” Today, Cards operates across Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas, serving more than 45 municipalities and boasting a network of transfer stations and a dedicated C&D landfill.
