Guardian hydraulic truck scales offer life-time load cell warranty

Cardinal Scale, Webb City, Missouri, says its Guardian hydraulic truck scales are made for demanding applications like solid waste industry landfills and transfer stations due to their severe-duty-rated protection. Damage resulting from water, lightning and voltage surges, corrosion, rodents, shock loading and extreme climatic conditions can dramatically increase the cost of ownership for an owner’s truck scale. Guardian hydraulic load cells, conversely, are covered under a lifetime warranty that protects against all of the aforementioned issues.

Cardinal Scale manufactures its own stainless steel, IP68-rated, 75,000-pound-capacity Guardian hydraulic load cells for its truck scales. These SST75 load cells carry a lifetime warranty when installed in a Cardinal truck scale by an authorized Cardinal Scale dealer. Guardian load cells can even operate completely submerged underwater.

These truck scales feature a 100,000-pound concentrated load capacity and operate in a range of extreme temperature conditions. They are available in checkered steel deck or pour-in-place concrete deck weighbridges, plus multi-platform-type scales. Guardian steel deck weighbridges utilize a tight concentration of 7.5-inch I-beam spacing, which minimizes unsupported deck plate area and ensures that truck tire contact patches are always directly supported by one I-beam, the company says. This structural integrity provides a high 50-ton concentrated load capacity for heavy vehicle weights.
