Canadian Courthouse Project will be LEED Certified

Construction project slated to be complete by end of 2009.

The new Durham Consolidated Courthouse, to be built in Toronto, Ontrio, which is expected to break ground next month, will be the first Ontario government building to receive the Canada Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design silver certification for incorporating environmentally sustainable construction practices and energy efficient design.

Access Justice Durham has been chosen to design, build, finance and maintain the courthouse.

The facility is expected to be complete by the fall of 2009.
