The Marin County (California) Department of Public Works has been awarded $24,158 to create, distribute and promote a reuse guide aimed at construction and demolition businesses, according to a report in the Marin Independent Journal. (Novato, Calif.).
The grant was awarded by the California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB), which has approved $250,000 in grants to help cities, counties and regional waste authorities to work with local businesses to promote reuse.
Marin County will work with builder associations, advertise reuse concepts and post the guidebook to their Web site, according to the report.
