California Company Recycles Concrete for Road Applications

Adelanto, Calif., firm processes about 60,000 tons of material per year

A company in Adelanto, Calif., is recycling concrete for road applications, according to a report in the Daily Press (Victorville, Calif.).

Emery Materials receives concrete and asphalt from demolished buildings, bridges and other infrastructure. The processed material is then sold to paving companies as a base for the construction of new roads and parking lots, according to the report.

The company processes an estimated 60,000 tons of material per year.

In spite of a slowdown in the residential construction market, the company continues to receive a steady flow of material from new commercial real estate and infrastructure projects in Adelanto and Victorville.
