C&D World Sells Out Exhibitor Space

C&D World, considered to be the biggest show devoted to recycling construction and demolition materials, has increased its exhibit space by 40 percent for its 2009 event at the Tampa Convention Center March 22-24, and is sold out of all booth space, according to the Construction Materials Recycling Association (CMRA).

“The response to our board’s decision to add, for the first time, equipment exhibitions to our show has been tremendous,” says CMRA executive director William Turley. “This will be by far our largest meeting ever. Attendee registrations for the event are also on an excellent pace.”

The 15th Annual C&D World will again feature speakers focusing on the most important issues facing the C&D industry, including rail haul, markets and new recycled products.

But the interest in equipment vendors in exhibiting at the show reflects that C&D recycling still shows great promise for future growth because the federal economic stimulus includes infrastructure spending that will include an emphasis on green technologies such as recycling, the press release says.  In addition, the emphasis on green building through LEED and the Green Highways Program is fueling the growth of C&D recycling and C&D World in particular, CMRA adds.
