Description: NA ERDC-CERL requires research services to Convert Materials Salvaged from Wood-Framed Buildings to High-Value Products. The services involve the field demonstration, and validation of the Auburn Machinery Yield ProTM for the onsite removal of lead based paint from painted boards and siding at Camp Roberts, CA. Period of service will be no later than nine months after award of the contract.
The proposed procurement will be on a sole-source basis. The Contracts Office intends to negotiate a firm fixed-price contract with Auburn Enterprises, LLC. Request for Proposal (RFP) DACA42-03-R-0042 will be issued on or about September 4, 2003 with a closing date of October 6, 2003.

Description: For technical questions, contact Mike Mitchell, Contracting Officer’s Representative, at 530-621-5283. The intent of this solicitation is to demolish and remove one single-story cabin for the base item.
There are two optional cabins for demolition and removal (one single-story and one two-story). Debris is to be removed from Government land to a commercial disposal site, including all concrete foundations, sewer pipe, and water pipe. Materials may be salvaged at the discretion of the contractor.
The government estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000 for all items. There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting at the project site. Meet at the Pyramid Trailhead Parking Lot at Twin Bridges on September 30, 2003 at 10 am. Directions to the project site are: From Sacramento travel East on Highway 50 approximately 35 miles to Placerville . Continue East, approximately 40 miles on Highway 50 to the first cabin site at Pyramid Creek Tract-Lot #2, from Pyramid Tract continue East on Highway 50 to the second cabin site at the 47 Milestone Tract-Lot #2A, from 47 Milestone continue East to Echo Lake road turn left onto Johnson Pass road and go to the third cabin site in the Atwood Tract-Lot #12. The solicitation package will be available on this internet site on September 18, 2003 with a response date of October 10, 2003 at close of business (4:30 pm).
