C&D Recycling Center Planned for Pennsylvania Township

Facility will accept concrete, asphalt and yard debris.

An agreement has been signed by Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. and State College, Pa., that will allow the company to establish a recycling facility in  Patton Township, Pa., for construction debris, according to a report in the Centre Daily Times (State College, Pa.).

The facility will accept concrete, asphalt and yard debris, according to the report.

A development plan for the site is under review. The site is owned by the borough and is currently used as its yard debris and composting facility.

The recycling center is expected to be open by the end of the year. The CEO of the company, Dan Hawkbaker, says he estimates the facility will require an investment of more than $500,000 to add infrastructure.
