C&D Recycling Center Planned for New York Town

Local businessman proposes sorting facility for New Rochelle, N.Y.

The city planning board of New Rochelle, N.Y., has received a proposal for a construction and demolition debris sorting facility, according to a report in the Journal News (White Plains, N.Y.).

Local businessman Frank Miceli Jr. made the proposal for the Queen City Recycling Center, which would replace a demolition business he currently runs on the site, according to the report.

Material will not be crushed on-site, rather brought in to the 6,600-square-foot building by roll-off trucks, sorted and then sent out for recycling.

The state DEC is accepting public comment until Jan. 4, according to the report.
