BSI Management Systems (BSI), with U.S. headquarters in Reston, Va., has been approved by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) as a qualified certification body for the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System, according to a company press release.
BSI says it is proud to be one of only a few certification bodies to have LEED certification as part of its sustainability portfolio, alongside ISO 14001 certification, Greenhouse Gas Emissions Verification, OHSAS 18001 certification, Social Responsibility and Sustainability Assurance.
The LEED green building rating system supports and certifies “green” building design, construction and management. It promotes a wholly sustainable approach to the building and construction industry.
