Brownfields Topic of New York Gathering

New York City event looks at latest in brownfields policies.

Redeveloping brownfields sights in New York City is the topic of a one-day event taking place on Wednesday, May 23.

Baruch College in Manhattan will serve as the host site for the event, which is being organized by Albany-based EBA/NYS (Environmental Business Association of New York State Inc.)

The third annual version of “Redeveloping Brownfields in New York City” will focus on “how to navigate New York City sites through the BCP and NYC programs,” according to the group, including a chance to hear a “detailed description of the brownfields incentives to be implemented as part of Mayor Bloomberg's Long Term Plan (LTP) for New York City.”

Other topics covered will include an analysis of U.S. EPA Region 2 programs and a look at brownfields funding eligibility case law.

Those seeking more information or wishing to register can visit the EBA/NYS Web site at www.eba-nys.org or call (514) 432-6400, ext. 224.
