Demolition crews in Boston tore down a partially collapsed building Feb. 19 morning, a report by WCVB says. The building collapsed the previous evening.
Bricks from the four-story building fell onto nearby businesses and homes. There were no injuries, according to the report, but 28 people were displaced and are currently staying elsewhere.
The remnants of the building fell as one piece of equipment tried to provide support while another broke away chunks of the structure, the report says. There was already a demolition permit in place for the building, but the collapse occurred before any work had begun.
An uncut video of the demolition, provided by WCVB, can be viewed at www.wcvb.com/article/uncut-video-east-boston-building-falls-during-demolition/18228495.
