Bomag Americas Inc., Kewanee, Ill., has appointed G.E. Randecker as president, effective Oct. 1.
Randecker succeeds Charles M. Simpkins, who is retiring after more than 15 years with the company.
As president of Bomag Americas, Randecker will be responsible for operations in Kewanee, Ill., Warrensburg, Mo., and Mississauga, Ontario.
Randecker previously served as president of Spencer Fluid Power, a supplier of hydraulic components and systems based in Kent, Wash. Prior to his work at Spencer, he served as president and CEO of Construction Machinery Inc., a heavy construction equipment distributor based in Anchorage, Alaska; and Hitachi Construction Machinery (America) based in Houston.
Simpkins joined Bomag in 1991. He served as senior vice president of marketing and sales for North and South America from 1991 to 1999. He was then appointed president in October of 1999.
Bomag Americas is part of Bomag, an international manufacturer and marketer of compaction and road building equipment headquartered in Boppard, Germany. It is a subsidiary of Fayat.
