Bobcat Introduces Two Compact Excavators

Manufacturer adds 329, 335 to product offering.

Bobcat Co., West Fargo, N.D., has added two compact excavators to its product line—the 329 and 335.

The 329 has a conventional tail swing and is likely to appeal to contractors who perform excavation, trenching, demolition and material handling. The machine has a maximum reach of 16 feet at ground level.

The hydraulic system features a dual-outlet piston pump that enables the 329 to maintain constant digging forces by minimizing lugging. It has a two-speed travel system that provides a 1.2 mph travel speed and a 1.8 mph high travel speed.

The 329 offers 14 gpm of auxiliary hydraulic flow and is powered by a liquid-cooled 27.7 hp diesel engine. For demolition applications, a hydraulic breaker or hydraulic clamp attachment is approved for use on the 329.

Bobcat has also introduced the 335 compact excavator, which falls into the 4-5 metric ton size class.

Bobcat representatives say its performance and economy of operations will likely appeal to a wide range of customers. The 40-hp 335 features a maximum digging depth of 11 feet, 8 inches and a maximum reach of 17 feet, 10 inches at ground level.

It also has a two-speed motor and can travel from 2 mph to 3.4 mph. The machine has an arm breakout force of 5,262 pounds and 7,892 pounds of bucket breakout force.

In addition, the 335 has 19.8 gpm of auxiliary hydraulic flow, which is controlled by a thumb switch on the right joystick.
