Bobcat Co., West Fargo, N.D., has announced in a press release that its E60 excavator is now available from Bobcat dealers. The E60 is a new model size in the 6-ton weight class.
According to the company, the E60 features a completely new design that increases the comfort of the operator and the durability of the machine, while decreasing the frequency needed for some preventive maintenance tasks.
The company says that operators will no longer have to grease the bushings at the boom, arm and bucket pivot every day, but that the E60 has extended the service interval of greasing the bushings to 250 hours. Additionally, the E60 increases operator comfort with a spacious cab, an adjustable seat and an improved air conditioning system.
Other features of the new excavator include being equipped for use with trenching buckets, hydraulic breakers and earth augers, a 50-horsepower engine, minimal tail swing and an operating weight of 13,556 pounds with rubber tracks.
