Bobcat Co., West Fargo, N.D., has added an entry-level compact excavator with conventional tail swing to its equipment line.
The model 329 has a maximum digging depth of 10 feet, 2 inches and a maximum reach of 16 feet at ground level.
The hydraulic system has a dual-outlet piston pump that enables the 329 to maintain constant digging forces by minimizing lugging, according to a press release from Bobcat. A two-speed travel system provides a 1.2 mph low travel speed and a 1.8 mph high travel speed.
Rubber tracks distribute the 7,098-pound operating weight over a larger area to lower ground pressure of 4.2 psi. Steel tracks are also available for harsher work environments.
The 329 has an overall width of 61 inches.
