At the demolition site, two factors determine the success of a project: high-reach safety and time- and cost-saving solutions.
Sennebogen meets both requirements with the multifunctional 830 Demolition machine. The Straubing, Germany-based company will display the 48-ton demolition machine at Bauma, which runs from Oct. 24-30 in Munich. New features include a three-part demolition arm with a maximum pin height of about 75 feet and a hydraulically unloadable counterweight, which can be removed at the push of a button.
Demolition work often takes place in urban areas to create space for new construction projects and is characterized by confined spaces or limited working areas for the machines used. The 830 Demolition is well-suited for work in cramped, inner-city construction sites because and features environmentally friendly engine technology, compact dimensions and flexible operation in its 360-degree swivel mode. The machine has the widest outrigger in its class with a standing width of up to nearly 15 feet, guaranteeing optimal stability and low-vibration operation, even during dismantling tasks at great heights. The elevating cab, which can be tilted up to 30 degrees, not only gives the operator an excellent overview of the work but also keeps them at a safe distance from the danger zone.
With the machine’s powerful hydraulics, it can work with a variety of equipment from demolition cutters to pulverizers, and operators can switch attachments efficiently with an optional quick-changer. The machine can sort materials effectively, which is an important ability as recycling of construction and demolition materials becomes more important.
The AB23 three-part demolition arm option not only increases the safety distance but also makes the machine more flexible. Not only can the 830 Demolition reach heights of about 75 feet, but it also can reach over-projecting edges with a new articulated boom. With the help of the hydraulic quick-change system, equipment can be swapped at the push of a button without the operator having to leave the cab. With just one machine, operators can carry out a wide range of tasks while saving time, fuel and transport cost.
The 830 Demolition’s removable counterweight option means it can be transported faster and more cost-effectively in up to three parts by a low-loader trailer. A button on the remote control reduces the transport weight of the 830 Demolition by around 10 tons using a hydraulic ballast rack. In addition, the transport width of the telescopic crawler undercarriage can be reduced to about 9.5 feet, and the three-part demolition arm can be transported to the next job in a transport frame.
