Bauma ConExpo Africa announces programming

Johannesburg event scheduled for Sept. 15-18, 2015.

Organizers of the Bauma ConExpo Africa event have announced programming that will accompany the equipment exhibit. Topics to be addressed will include major projects, investments and opportunities in the African market. The event takes place Sept. 15-18, 2015, at the Johannesburg Expo Centre in South Africa.

One part of the supporting program will be “country specials” to be held in the expo’s Forum area, where various projects in selected African markets with the opportunities and challenges they offer will be presented in more detail. These presentations will focus on South Africa as well as the southern, eastern and western African regions, including Ethiopia, Botswana, Kenya, Namibia, Nigeria and Zambia. The country specials are organized together with partners and supporting associations.

Another set of programs known as industry specials will entail looking at current technologies and trends within the construction machinery and mining market. Topics will include: “Mining Cities,” presented by the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa; “Changes to Import and Export Laws” presented by the Bowman Gilfillan Africa Group; and “Doing Business in Africa” presented by Nedbank and Intergest.

Also in coordination with Bauma ConExpo Africa, the Annual Conference of Master Builders South Africa will take Sept. 16-17. Members of the Master Builders Association will discuss current developments in the construction industry and other business pertinent to the organization.

Bauma ConExpo Africa is expected to bring together more than 750 exhibitors and 14,000 attendees in Johannesburg. More information on exhibits and programs at the event can be found at www.bcafrica.com.
