Remus, Michigan-based Bandit Industries Inc. has announced the production of its 100,000th wood processing machine. To help publicize the milestone, Bandit says it will host a giveaway contest for the commemorative 100,000th unit at the Tree Care Industry Association’s TCI Expo, Nov. 6-8, in St. Louis.
Employee-owned Bandit says the milestone machine, a model 12XC hand-fed chipper, is equipped with a Kohler diesel engine that was donated by Wisconsin-based Superior Diesel Inc.
Bandit was founded in 1983 by Mike Morey Sr. and six employees, who together built the first Brush Bandit chipper “in a Michigan pole barn,” according to the firm.
Currently, the company operates from more than 560,000 square feet of manufacturing space and serves customers in more than 55 countries, says Bandit.
Bandit’s product line has grown to include hand-fed and whole tree chippers, stump grinders, horizontal grinders and the Arjes slow-speed shredder line.
Throughout the more than 40 years of changes, the company says its mission statement and core values remain the same, guiding what Bandit calls its commitment to excellence, innovation and the success of its customers.
“Reaching 100,000 machines is a milestone we are incredibly proud of,” says Jason Morey, the firm’s marketing manager. “It represents decades of hard work, innovation, and the trust of the tree care professionals who rely on Bandit equipment every day.”
Continues Jason Morey, “We are grateful not only to our employees, but also to the dedication and hard work of our dealer network, whose efforts have been instrumental in reaching this achievement. We can’t think of a better way to celebrate than by giving back to the tree care industry.”
According to Bandit, attendees of the TCI Expo will have the chance to see the 100,000th machine on display and participate in the giveaway event, which will take place giveaway Friday, Nov. 7.
