Bandit Industries Inc. has been named the 2010 World Trader of the Year by the West Michigan World Trade Association. In a press announcement, the association says that it recognized Bandit for its global success and strategy.
In highlighting Bandit, the association noted Bandit’s commitment to international trade, and highlighted the steps the company has taken to achieve their success in the global market. Bandit saw a 200 percent increase in their international sales volume last year.
The company, which operates out of a 240,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Remus, Mich., sells its chippers and grinders through a network of more than 170 dealers, 51 of which are located outside the country. Traditional markets for their products include the forest, tree care, and landscaping industries, but increasingly the machines are used to assist in biomass energy production.
