Baldwin Supply Co., a Plymouth, Massachusetts-based distributor of power transmission, conveyor belt and other industrial supplies, has acquired Construction & Aggregate Products Inc. (CAP).
CAP, with locations in Des Moines, Iowa, and Lenexa, Kansas, is a distributor of critical parts to the aggregate, mining and construction industries. The acquisition, effective Dec. 29, 2025, aims to expand Baldwin Supply’s regional footprint.
“CAP has an excellent reputation and a great team in place. Our values are aligned, and we see a lot of potential in continuing to invest in the state of Iowa,” Rob LaRue, president of Baldwin Supply, says. “We’re excited to move forward together, combining the resources of the two leading independent distributors in the area. This is truly a win for both organizations, our employees and our customers.”
Since 1920, Baldwin Supply has served customers through several branch locations across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska. With expertise across the food and beverage, manufacturing, aggregate, agriculture, packaging and material handling industries, the acquisition also aims to solidify Baldwin Supply’s commitment to customers in the original equipment manufacturer and maintenance, repair and operation spaces.
“Construction & Aggregate Products has always been built around strong relationships with our customers and our employees. Joining Baldwin Supply allows us to preserve what makes CAP special while gaining the scale, resources and opportunities of a larger organization,” Dana Raley, president of CAP, says. “I’m confident this move positions our customers for continued success and opens new doors for our team members.”
