Atlas Copco Introduces Submersible Pump

Pump designed to remove debris-filled water from construction sites.

Atlas Copco Construction Tools Inc., West Springfield, Mass., has introduced the LTP 3 submersible trash pump.

The pump is designed for a variety of applications, including removing debris-filled water from construction and excavation sites and flooded basements.

The 3-inch pump can handle stones and other debris up to 2 1/2 –inches in diameter. A discharge capacity of 507 gallons per minute and lifting head up to 104 feet allows the LTP 3 to quickly and efficiently move large volumes of water.

The spark-proof pump is driven by a hydraulic motor and can run dry without damage to internal components, according to the manufacturer.

The unit weighs 28 pounds and has a 33-foot discharge hose.

The LTP 3 was added to Atlas Copco’s product line through the acquisition of Lifton, a manufacturer of hydraulic handheld breakers, power packs, cut-off saws, core drills, post drivers, water pumps and other equipment for the global construction, demolition, utility, mining and rental industries.
