Atlas Copco Introduces HB 3600 Hydraulic Breaker

Company says HB 3600 fills a need for a breaker attachment that is better matched to precise sub-classes of hydraulic carriers.

Atlas Copco Construction Tools LLC, Westfield, Mass., has introduced its newest hydraulic breaker, the HB 3600. Weighing 7,940 pounds, the HB 3600 is suitable for hydraulic carriers in the 35 to 63 metric ton weight class. The breaker accepts maximum hydraulic flow of 79 gallons per minute at 2,610 psi.

 Delivering an impact rate of up to 560 blows per minute, the HB 3600 is designed for applications, such as demolition, trenching, foundation work, tunneling, rock mining and secondary breaking.

 

According to Atlas Copco, by filling the gap among the breaker classes previously available, the HB 3600 helps to eliminate undersized or oversized compromises when it comes to breaker-carrier matches.

 

The breaker comes standard with Atlas Copco’s PowerAdapt, a system that automatically shuts down the breaker in the event that it receives excessive oil pressure from the carrier and then returns it to normal function once the overflow situation is corrected. Also standard on the HB 3600 is AutoControl, a monitoring system that allows the breaker to adapt its frequency and power output to match operating conditions. The breaker also features a StartSelect system and VibroSilenced damping system.

 

The HB 3600 is capable of using a working tool with a diameter of 6.7 inches and working length up to 30.3 inches. Tool options include the moil point for multi-purpose use, the flat chisel for rock breaking and demolition and the blunt tool for breaking rock, concrete and oversized material.
