Atlas Copco Construction Tools Inc., West Springfield, Mass., has introduced two hydraulic breakers to its equipment line.
The HB 4200 hydraulic breaker features Krupp percussion technology and has a service weight of more than 4 tons. It is suited for demolition, tunneling, trenching, foundation work and primary and secondary quarrying.
Accepting a maximum hydraulic flow of 84 gallons per minute at 2,610 psi, the HB 4200 delivers an impact rate of up to 530 blows per minute.
To reduce excess vibration and noise, the HB 4200 comes equipped with the VibroSilenced dampening system. Elastic elements between the percussion mechanism and the guide system provide acoustic insulation, reducing noise by up to 18-dB(A), according to a news release from Atlas Copco.
The company has also added the PB 530 to its light duty breaker series. With a service weight of 1,210 pounds, the PB 530 Penta Series hydraulic breaker is designed for use with skid steers, backhoes and mini-excavators in the 9 to 15 metric ton weight class.
With a high power-to-weight ratio and quite operation, the PB 530 is designed for road construction, landscaping, light demolition and trenching applications.
The breaker accepts a maximum hydraulic flow of 26.4 gallons per minute at 2,175 psi and delivers an impact rate of up to 1,100 blows per minute. This model also comes with the VibroSilenced dampening system.
