ATCO Noise Management Ltd., a Calgary, Alberta-based noise control company, has announced the opening of a new branch office in Albany, N.Y.
“Albany’s economic development focus, combined with strong activity in our traditional markets of power generation and gas transmission within New York and the surrounding states, make the city an ideal location for our new office,” says Boris Rassin, president of ATCO Noise Management.
Michael Hillery, recently from steel buildings manufacturer, Varco Pruden, will head ATCO’s new Albany office.
“Michael is a great addition to our company and brings over twenty years of metal building and construction experience” says Rassin. “With Michael, we will be better able to service our current projects and customers in the region.”
Current ATCO projects include the Empire Generation Power Plant now under construction in Rensselaer, N.Y. and a 500-megawatt expansion of a power plant in New York City. Located in Queens, next to the Steinway manufacturing facility where world-renowned Steinway pianos are crafted and tuned, the power plant expansion is not allowed to increase noise levels at the Steinway facility nor at six other close-by sites, including a boat club and a children’s playground, the company says
