The Arizona State University Scottsdale Center for New Technology and Innovation will be built using green building standards set by the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) system, according to a report in the Arizona Republic (Phoenix).
Steve Evans, a trustee of the ASU Foundation, which is helping to fund the project, tells the paper that utilizing green building techniques will “help us attract the types of companies and workers we hope to have as long-term occupants of the center.”
The Arizona Republic reports that the ASU Scottsdale Center will be the largest commercial development in Scottsdale, Ariz., to use LEED green building standards.
