The Construction & Demolition Recycling Association (CDRA) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 5 office are presenting the 7th Shingle Recycling Forum Oct. 29-30 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel near Chicago O’Hare airport.
The event offers programming throughout the day Thursday, Oct. 29 and the morning of Friday, Oct. 30. Presenters include representatives from trade associations, research institutes, the roofing industry and the Illinois Department of Transportation (DOT).
On Thursday morning, Oct. 29, attendees will have the opportunity to attend the Southwind RAS shingle processing facility in Bartlett, Illinois, followed by a visit to the Healey Asphalt hot mix plant in Mount Prospect, Illinois.
According to the CDRA, “Anyone interested in shingle recycling, including but not limited to state DOT officials, recyclers, asphalt plant operators and road pavers, should plan on attending this event.”
