The Glen Ellyn, Illinois-based Asphalt Recycling and Reclaiming Association (ARRA) is part of an alliance presenting a Sept. 17 webinar on cold in-place recycling (CIR) and cold central plant recycling (CCPR) methods for municipalities and asphalt paving contractors.
The ARRA has allied with the Pavement Recycling and Preservation Alliance (PPRA) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) on the webinar. The Sept. 17 webinar is part of a series of online events presented in 2020 by a consortium that also includes the Asphalt Emulsion Manufacturers Association (AEMA) and the International Slurry Surfacing Association (ISSA).
The groups describe CIR and CCPR as pavement rehabilitation techniques in which reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) is used “to produce a high performing pavement layer.” The Sept. 17 presentation, hosted by Pavement and Materials Engineer Jason Dietz of FHWA, has been designed to examine project selection guidelines, construction processes, equipment and materials. Example CIR and CCPR project overviews will be included to demonstrate how these technologies have been used on state highways, say the organizers.
The Sept. 17 webinar on CIR and CCPR methods will start at 2 p.m. EDT. Information on how to register can be found on this webpage.Latest from Construction & Demolition Recycling
