Arizona Retail-Office Complex Seeks LEED Certification

Construction on the Glassrock Corporate Center in Gilbert, Ariz., expected to begin in May.

 

Designers of a planned retail-office complex in Gilbert, Ariz., have announced that they will seek Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), according to a report in the Arizona Republic (Phoenix).

 

The developer of the project is Dmytro Development LLC. The Glassrock Corporate Center will feature two three-story buildings, which will house medical offices, traditional offices and retail space.

 

Sustainable building practices the project will employ include the use of recycled and local materials in construction, preferred parking for low-emission and carpool vehicles and high-efficiency water fixtures.

 

Construction on the Glassrock Corporate Center is expected to begin in May, according to the report.
