Appointments at AEM

Association names public relations director and elects new members.

 

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has named Richard Jefferson to the newly created position of senior director of public relations. He will oversee the trade group’s efforts to expand the scope of its activities for increased awareness to represent equipment manufacturers, particularly in the areas of public policy, global business development and workforce issues.

 

Jefferson brings more than 20 years of experience working in a variety of government, educational and business settings. He most recently served as director of external affairs for the USDA Farm Service Agency’s Office of Public Affairs in Washington, DC. 

 

The association has also elected 14 companies as new members. The new member companies are:

  • Hobson Associates, (Cheshire, Conn.), provider of executive-search services.
  • Light Engineering, (Indianapolis, Ind.), manufacturer of generators, motors and light towers.
  • Midland Information Resources, (Davenport, Iowa), provider of short-run printing and print-on-demand, CD-ROM and DVD duplications, content and document management services.
  • R.C. Flagman, (Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada), manufacturer of portable traffic control devices.
  • Rayner Equipment Systems, (Sacramento, Calif.), manufacturer of slurry/microsurfacing machines, sealcoat machines, sealcoat plants and components.
  • Side Dump Industries, (South Sioux City, Neb.), manufacturer of side dump trailers.
  • Thomas Equipment, (Centreville, New Brunswick, Canada), manufacturer of skid steer loaders and screeners.
  • Williamsen Manufacturing, (Salt Lake City), manufacturer of dump bodies and platforms.
