Appointment at Volvo

Pat Olney to head Volvo Construction Equipment’s new road machinery business line.

Volvo Construction Equipment has announced the appointment of Pat Olney as the head of its new road machinery business line.

Volvo acquired Ingersoll Rand’s road development division in April of this year. The new business line, which includes the company’s motor grader product line, was created to provide strategic focus on the road development segment. It has production facilities in the U.S., Germany, India and China and is headquartered in Shippensburg, Pa.

Olney joined Champion Road Machinery in Goderich, Ontario, Canada, in 1995 as financial analyst and held the positions of investor relations manager, financial controller and treasury manager. In 1997, the company was acquired by Volvo Construction Equipment. In 2001, Olney moved to Brussels, Belgium, to become senior vice president finance and CFO at the company’s headquarters, and returned to Goderich in 2004 as president of the motor grader business line.
