Allmand Bros. Inc.,
Incorporating a new fan-motor combination and increasing static pressure from .5 wg to 1.5 wg, the upgraded Maxi-Heat is able to accommodate up to 110 feet of 16-inch ducting, rather than 40 feet with the previous model, the company says.
The Maxi-Heater is designed for applications such as cement curing, equipment pre-heating and general heating for mining, petroleum and construction industries.
The heater features twin heater units that are designed to produce a maximum of 1,010,000 British thermal units (BTU) and may be operated independently, depending on heating requirements, according to the company news release. A standard 1,800-rpm liquid-cooled Isuzu diesel engine with regulated generator provides power for the heaters and electrical accessories. A 191-gallon fuel tank provides more than 24 hours of operation without refueling.
And in addition to the static pressure and ducting upgrades, Allmand also has added an in-line fuel heater and pre-filter to the Maxi-Heat’s fuel system. The heater/pre-filler makes the Maxi-Heater more tolerant to dirt and variances in fuel viscosity, the company says.
