Allied Construction Products, Cleveland, and the Sandvik Group, Sandviken, Sweden, have announced an agreement to combine their demolition attachments businesses in the North American market.
The combined company will sell breakers and other construction products under the Rammer and Allied brand names. Rammer products had previously been marketed by the Sandvik Tamrock Corp. subsidiary of Sandvik.
“We are extremely pleased to join forces with Sandvik and to take on the Rammer product line,” says Allied Construction Products president Leo Matthews. “Rammer’s breaker technology is state-of-the-art and most competitive from a price/performance perspective.”
Arto Metsanen, president of Sandvik Tamrock, remarks, “We are pleased to be joining forces with Allied, which has been a leader in the attachment industry for over 30 years.”
The combined company is owned partly by Allied’s shareholders and partly by the Sandvik Group. The new venture will assume the joint marketing of both brands on Jan. 1, 2004.
