All Family of Companies (All), Cleveland, announced the debut of its Shared Equipment Program (SEP) April 29. According to the company, SEP is a new approach to equipment rental that can help contractors save time and money.
Through SEP, a project’s general contractor acts as the primary renter of all lift equipment for the job and then rents it to the subcontractors—a method that helps to eliminate waste, cuts costs, improves productivity and creates positive outcomes, All says. The project also gets support from the All team through SEP, including access to mechanics who conduct regular maintenance to keep machines in “rent-ready” condition as they change hands between subcontractors.
When multiple subcontractors arrange for their own equipment, depending on the job site, the SEP can help eliminate redundancy and waste, which can be as much as one-third of total project cost. It can also help reduce congestion on job sites.
All’s equipment lineup includes crane types as small as mini and spider cranes or as large as 900-ton all-terrain and 1,000-ton crawlers. The company’s fleet also includes tower cranes; boom lifts, aerials, and mobile elevating work platforms; and boom trucks.
