The Alberta Wood Waste Recycling Association (AWWRA) is hosting a workshop focusing on scrap wood recycling and end markets on Saturday, Oct. 1, in Red Deer, Alberta.
Among the presenters at the workshop will be Toso Bozic, a bioenergy specialist with the provincial government’s Alberta Agriculture and Forestry agency.
Among the topics to be addressed, according to the AWWRA, are:
- the emerging Alberta wood recycling industry;
- landfill-based wood recycling operations;
- technology within the stationary and mobile wood grinding and transportation industry;
- renewable energy and environmental science and technologies within that sector;
- the treated wood scrap sector;
- ·opportunities in repurposing, portable saw milling and manufacturing using scrap wood.
The event is sponsored by and takes place at Trimmed-Line Tree Services Ltd. in Red Deer.
