The Alabama Power Co., Birmingham, Ala., has applied to renew its current permit for the E.C. Gaston Steam Plant No. 3 landfill in Wilsonville, Ala., according to a report in the Shelby County Reporter (Columbiana, Ala.).
According to the report, the landfill will accept a maximum volume of 10 tons of non-hazardous construction and demolition debris per day.
The company filed the application with the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM), and the ADEM made the application public on Nov. 23.
