AEI offers Freedom disc screens

Leola, Pennsylvania-based Aggregates Equipment Inc. (AEI) says its Freedom disc screen sorting and size classification product line has been designed to provide “consistent, high-capacity performance with unmatched reliability.”

AEI's product has been designed to handle “the most problematic material streams” without wrapping, clogging or downtime, and the company calls the Freedom disc screen “a versatile solution that packs power into a compact footprint.”

The disc screen offers anticlogging and antiwrapping qualities because it is made with wear-resistant Hardox steel discs mounted on rotor shafts.

“The unique faceted disc shape liberates stuck materials, minimizing stoppages,” AEI says.

Additionally, AEI says the Freedom disc screen has been engineered both for longevity and high throughput, “all while using minimal energy and requiring less maintenance.”

“Conventional vibrating screens, trommels and star screeners often choke under demanding conditions,” the company says, while the Freedom disc screen continues to operate, even with materials that tend to clog, wrap or blind.

AEI says sorting municipal solid waste (MSW), C&D materials, aggregates and other recyclable materials are applications suitable for the Freedom disc screen.

The Freedom disc screen is available in several sizes, ranging from 5 feet by 12 feet to 5 feet by 30 feet.

“Whether static or mobile, its modular design allows for multi-stage separation to perfectly suit your process flow,” AEI says.
