AFGP Considering Opening Fiberglass Collection Sites

Kenneth McCleave, chairman of American Fiber Green Products Inc. (AFGP), based in Tampa, Fla., says that the company is in negotiations to open several different fiberglass recycling facilities in preparation for the opening of AFGP’s fully operational manufacturing facilities in 2011 and 2012. According to McCleave, the facilities will receive waste fiberglass and resin from manufacturers and waste facilities throughout the country. It will then be broken into manageable pieces to be used in the patented Amour process and processor to create new recycled products.

"Our CEO and President, Dan Hefner, has been at point to locate these sites. The company is researching sites in California, Washington, Utah, Kansas, Florida, Pennsylvania and Georgia. Additional sites are being considered for Michigan, Illinois, Tennessee, Mississippi and Texas," says McCleave.

Hefner says that he sees the coming year as the time for the exclusive fiberglass ability of AFGP’s subsidiary, Amour Fiber Core Inc., to make strides to fulfill its business model of recycling fiberglass into a replacement for pressure treated wood, concrete and even steel in many applications.
