AEM Sets Annual Conference

Equipment manufacturers to examine adaptation strategies.

“Adapt to Thrive” is the theme of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers’ (AEM) annual conference, to be held Nov. 6-8, 2005, at the J.W. Marriott Starr Pass Resort in Tucson, Ariz.

 

The conference will feature speakers chosen for their expertise in adapting to, managing and communicating change in dynamic organizations. Presenters include U.S. Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Thomas Donohue, former Secretary of U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Jack Kemp (now co-director of Empower America) and Chairman/CEO Wayne Murdy of Newmont Mining Corp.

 

Television business journalist Stuart Varney will lead “talk back” sessions to stimulate feedback and discussion among attendees and speakers. The AEM annual conference will also include breakout sessions on agriculture and construction industry trends.

In other AEM news, the association has named three executives to its Board of Directors:

 

·       Martin Richenhagen, president and CEO of AGCO Corp. in Duluth, Ga.

·       James McCullough, president of CNH Construction Equipment North America of CNH in Carol Stream, Ill.

·       Michael Clayton, executive vice president of Woods Equipment Co. in Oregon, Ill.

    

AEM directors help set the guidelines and operating policies of the association on behalf of its members in areas including product safety and technical support, equipment statistics and market trends data, public policy representation, international marketing support, trade shows, online strategic information services, education and training programs and jobsite safety/educational publications and videos.
