The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has announced that its product-specific group for trade media has expanded the focus of its activities and is now known as Publications in Construction and Agriculture (PICA).
The PICA bureau had previously focused solely on the construction industry.
PICA decided to broaden its membership in recognition of common issues faced by agricultural and construction-focused publications.
Formed in 1996, PICA operated under the support of one of AEM’s predecessor groups, the Construction Industry Manufacturers Association. The group took its name from the print measurement term, “pica.”
PICA sponsors a marketing awards program and produces an online directory of members with advertising-specific guidelines. The group also publishes material to help manufacturers work with trade publications.
