The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has singed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with two organizations affiliated with China’s Ministry of Construction to create a joint training and certification program.
The program will target machine operators, service technicians and supervisory personnel with efforts to improve safety and to promote advanced construction machinery products and practices in China.
Joining the AEM in forming the training initiative are the Changsha Construction Machinery Institute (CSCMI) and the China Construction Education Association (CCEA).
China requires that all construction equipment operators are trained and certified. Under the agreement, the AEM, CSCMI and CCEA will work together to provide training and certification services, including the development of training materials and curriculum as well as inspection criteria for procedures and facilities.
