The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has announced the opening of the AEM Canada office in Ottawa, Ontario.
Near the Canadian Parliament, the goal of the new office is to raise the profile of the equipment manufacturing industry in public policy issues and to assist companies doing business in or with Canada.
“We recognize the added value to our members of having active representation in key international capitals,” says Dennis Slater, AEM president. “By increasing our industry’s presence in Ottawa, our association is strengthening its public policy position in Canada. AEM Canada members will have increased government representation in addition to access to all the benefits of association membership.”
AEM Canada’s Ottawa office will focus primarily on governmental affairs while other association programs will be coordinated out of AEM’s Milwaukee, Wis., headquarters.

- Sumpura, Naperville, Ill., provider of management and technology consulting services focusing on supply chain improvement and service and parts management.
