The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) will conduct its annual product safety seminar April 3-5, 2006, at the Marriott Riverwalk in San Antonio.
The seminar provides an industry wide forum for off-road equipment manufacturing professionals to discuss product safety issues involved in the design, manufacture and use of their products.
With the theme of “Product Safety from Start to Finish,” the AEM seminar will help companies “think safety” throughout the manufacturing process. The seminar features three program tracks: one discusses product safety fundamentals for those new to the field, one examines design issues and one addresses standards and documentation.
General sessions for all attendees focus on risk management from the insurer’s perspective and multicultural communications to enhance safety.
A concluding presentation will be a safety audit using actual equipment to illustrate points discussed in earlier breakout sessions.
AEM’s annual product safety seminar is open to full-time employees of equipment manufacturers and their designated outside service professionals.
A one-day AEM product liability seminar featuring a mock trial will immediately follow the product safety seminar on April 6, also at the Marriott Riverwalk in San Antonio.
Complete seminar details are available at www.aem.org.
