AEM Elects New Leaders

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has announced that Charles Stamp Jr., vice president of public affairs worldwide for Deere & Company, Moline, Ill., has been elected chairman.

Other officers elected to serve in 2005 are Gerald Shaheen, group president of Caterpillar Inc., Peoria, Ill., who will serve as first vice chairman; Dennis Eagan, group president of Industrial/Power Equipment of Blount Inc., Zebulon, N.C., who will serve as second vice chairman; Charles Martz, president of Link-Belt Construction Equipment Co., Lexington, Ky., who will serve as treasurer; and Dennis Slater, AEM’s full-time president, who will serve as secretary.

The AEM officers set the operating policies and guidelines for the association, along with the board of directors.

Newly elected to sit on the board of directors is Richard Brown, president and CEO of Krause Corp., Hutchinson, Kan., who will serve as vice chairman of agriculture. Charles Foster, executive vice president and general manager of Sweepster LLC, Lee, Ill., has been elected as vice chairman of construction.

• Industrial Manufacturing Corp., Carson City, Nev., manufacturer of towed scrapers.
• Nammco, Lubbock, Texas, manufacturer of laser finishing scraper and portable pumps.
• Next Hydraulics SRL, Boretto, Reggio Emilia, Italy, manufacturer of truck cranes.
• Otico SAS, Chalmaison, France, manufacturer of rubber track systems.
• Rock Tools Inc., Littleton, Colo., manufacturer of saw attachments for excavators.
• York Modern Corp., Unadilla, New York, manufacturer of rakes and rotary brooms.
