The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has announced that it will host two seminars in early 2005.
The AEM, headquartered in Milwaukee, has set its annual product safety seminar for Jan. 30-Feb. 1, 2005. Titled “Safety: Your Best Product; Get Everyone Involved,” the program will take place in Atlanta. A general session on multicultural training issues will kick off the seminar, and the event will also include a product safety fundamentals program for entry-level and relatively new safety professionals, according to a release from AEM. It also includes curriculum tracks for technical writing, standards and regulations.
Following the product safety seminar, the AEM will host a one-day product liability seminar on Feb. 2, 2005, also in Atlanta.
Titled “How to be a Good Client,” the program will feature five segments on litigation-related topics, according to AEM.
This seminar is targeted to non-lawyers who are involved in the defense of company products. Sessions include an industrial panel discussion on litigation management policies, handling electronic and written documents during the litigation process and an interactive session on responding to challenging cross-examination.
Attendees participating in both events will receive a liability seminar registration discount, says AEM.
