Toro Dingo TX 450 and 550 compact utility loaders

Toro, headquartered in Bloomington, Minnesota, has reintroduced its Toro Dingo TX 450 and TX 550 compact utility loaders, which have undergone a design modernization. The machines can be used in digging, hauling and grading applications. Key features of the Dingo TX 450 and TX 550 include:

  • compact, lightweight design to enable use in narrow passages
  • light footprint for minimal turf disturbance
  • intuitive joystick enabling operators to raise, lower, curl and dump with one hand

Volvo ECR355 excavator

Volvo Construction Equipment offers the latest evolution in its short swing radius excavator product line. The Sweden-based company with global operations says its new ECR355 excavator addresses productivity challenges found at smaller jobsites. According to Volvo, the ECR355 is designed to deliver up to 7 percent greater fuel efficiency than its predecessor generation. Key features include:

  • a new electro-hydraulic control system that uses electronic sensors and the machine’s onboard computer to optimize flow and pressure, ensuring smooth and precise control of the boom, arm and bucket movements
  • electric cooling fans that operate only when needed, minimizing engine load, noise and fuel consumption
  • efficiency-enhancing technologies such as new engine work modes, comfort driving control, hydraulic priority setting and automatic engine shutdown all designed to contribute to lower running costs and higher uptime
  • people and obstacle detection that uses 360-degree cameras and radar to help prevent site accidents

Werk-Brau 40EX-HD Brush Shredder

Findlay, Ohio-based Werk-Brau has introduced the 40EX-HD Brush Shredder, an attachment that allows backhoe loaders and compact excavators to become powerful mulchers and long-reach boom mowers. The new attachment for land clearing contractors is equipped with a 40-inch cutting width and triple flail knives that cut material up to 5 inches thick. Key features include:

  • a heavy-duty, single-piece frame, a 0.5-inch-thick cutter drum and 3/8-inch-thick end plates
  • electronically balanced cutter drum with serviceable hubs to ensure straight shafts run smoothly for years of reliable service
  • integrated thumb saddle that works like a bucket to grab and remove debris or to reposition logs
  • antiwrap wire guards designed to protect bearings and seals from debris and a composite dampener washer to isolate vibration and increase life span of the drive components
