Sweeden-based Sandvik Mining and Construction has announced that it is expanding its manufacturing of crushing equipment in Svedala, Sweden. The construction of a new production plant is estimated to cost $41 million.
The new 3,600-square-foot facility is expected to be complete in early 2012. In a release announcing the new facility, Sandvik notes that the plant will have production equipment for manufacturing components for Sandvik’s range of crushers.
The investment follows the company’s earlier decision to build a new distribution center in Svedala for spare parts for the European market.
